A new chapter for Working in the Redwoods
For almost fifteen years, I have shared my work under the name Working In The Redwoods.
Today, it feels like the right moment to sign this project with my own name: Miriam Cernuda.
More than a name change, it is the natural evolution of an artistic and personal journey. A desire to show myself through my work with greater clarity and presence.

Over the years, my practice has been deeply influenced by ancestral cultures, landscapes, travel, and materiality. Today, these influences come together in an increasingly focused exploration of the art of everyday life: objects created to accompany daily rituals, transforming simple gestures and the spaces we inhabit into moments of connection, contemplation, and presence.
Ceramics, jewellery, and my ongoing research with ashes, rocks, and natural materials now find a common language, bringing together the different paths that have shaped my practice over time.

In the coming months, I will share a series of projects and events that mark this new chapter. The first will be especially meaningful: the presentation of a new collection at the studio, coinciding with the tenth anniversary of this space of creation, which has also been a fundamental part of my journey.
Thank you for being part of the path.
Miriam Cernuda
